<p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.15;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:12pt;text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:16px;font-family:Arial;color:rgb(34,34,34);background-color:transparent;font-weight:bold;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre-wrap">Summary: </span><span style="font-size:16px;font-family:Arial;color:rgb(34,34,34);background-color:transparent;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre-wrap">The Insight Segmentation and Registration Toolkit (ITK) is a widely used, open-source, cross-platform software toolkit that provides an extensive suite of software tools for biomedical image analysis, especially segmentation and registration. Developed using extreme programming methodologies, ITK employs leading-edge algorithms for registering and segmenting multi-dimensional data. Luis Ibanez, Matt McCormick, and Xiaoxiao Liu from Kitware, Inc. will conduct a hands-on workshop (see </span><a href="https://docs.google.com/document/d/1wHYa5zbq7pEFpRXQPOUNHk-xVYKZCRn-SfzK4pYQ5FE/edit?usp=sharing" style="text-decoration:none"><span style="font-size:16px;font-family:Arial;background-color:transparent;text-decoration:underline;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre-wrap">agenda</span></a><span style="font-size:16px;font-family:Arial;color:rgb(34,34,34);background-color:transparent;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre-wrap">) on ITK (version 4). The interactive portion of this workshop will include an introduction to </span><a href="http://www.itk.org/" style="text-decoration:none"><span style="font-size:16px;font-family:Arial;background-color:transparent;text-decoration:underline;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre-wrap"> ITK v4</span></a><span style="font-size:16px;font-family:Arial;color:rgb(34,34,34);background-color:transparent;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre-wrap"> and</span><a href="http://www.simpleitk.org/" style="text-decoration:none"><span style="font-size:16px;font-family:Arial;background-color:transparent;text-decoration:underline;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre-wrap"> Simple ITK</span></a><span style="font-size:16px;font-family:Arial;color:rgb(34,34,34);background-color:transparent;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre-wrap">, with hands-on exercises on advanced image filtering, segmentation, and registration techniques. A free USB thumb drive will be provided with all necessary software. </span></p>
