Dear all,<br><br>A software engineer position is available at the INRIA Sophia Antipolis on the French Riviera, within the Asclepios research team (<a href="http://www-sop.inria.fr/asclepios/" target="_blank">http://www-sop.inria.fr/asclepios/</a>). The engineer's task will be to develop MedINRIA v2.0, an open-source, clinically-oriented image processing and visualization software based on ITK, VTK and Qt.<br>

with advanced geometrical, statistical, physical and functional models.</font></p>

Systems with Computational Models built from biomedical images and other

be in charge of the development of MedINRIA v2.0, an open-source (BSD
license), cross-platform (Windows, Linux and MacOSX)
clinically-oriented image processing and visualization
software. The engineer will be assigned three main tasks:</font>

Contribute to the development of the core architecture of MedINRIA v2.0,
participate actively to technical discussions and to
the decision-making process, and suggest original solutions
to technical problems</font></p>

Transfer the knowhow from existing libraries and softwares of the Asclepios
team into MedINRIA v2.0<sup>*</sup>, and assist Ph.D. students
and researchers transferring theirs</font></p>

Ensure the diffusion of the software by writing documentation and tutorials,
animate the user community, publish articles in

code management systems, compilers / debugging tools on the 3 targeted
