[Insight-users] Inverse of B-Spline deformation field

Hi all,

I am currently looking for method to find a reasonable inverse of a B-Spline
deformation field. I have searched the past mailing list, and found a
proposed method by using the IterativeInverseDeformationField filter.

However, I would like to represent the deformation using the
BSplineDeformableTransform. So I am thinking of using the
IterativeInverseDeformationField of a regular grid and then use it to get
the B-Spline deformation. Here are a couple of questions:

1) Is this a good way to do it? Has anyone done this before? Or are there
other ways to get a reasonable inverse of B-Spline deformation field?

2) I have found another filter called InverseDeformationField, what is the
difference between this and IterativeInverseDeformationField?

Thank you very much in advance!

Best,
Jonathan
