Thanks very much Luis for the prompt reply, it's a pity for 
the operating room project. 
I finally succeeded " after a lot of suffering :)" in 
installing and building the examples. I'm now trying to run 
some of them to get familiar following your advice.
For the Gaussian filter project, I couldn't find which 
image format should I use. I tried many of them but each 
time it failed in reading the file. May I ask you to give 
me the right format (even pgm didn't work)
